2016   Scotland

We launched Milvina in the Clyde in June, immediately after Michael and Claire's wedding, tested our new mainsail and asymmetrical spinnaker, then had an enjoyable short sail to Arran.
We jumped between Scotland and Ireland, so these two pages are mixed
Since we were planning to leave Scotland, we visited some of our favorite anchorages which are shown in pages for previous years, including Oban, Canna, Loch Spelve, and Rum.  This shot shows the well known and remote (by European standards) Loch Scavaig anchorage
This last one was lucky for us, because this photo from the hill above won Neil top prize in the Cruising Association's annual photo competition

Diane Norwood and the Moonans were with us for a while, and are visible on the skyline as we hiked the Quiraing trail on Skye.

We mostly had either strong winds, or none at all, but we had one good run with our new asymmetrical spinnaker which is great in light winds

We drove around Skye too, with good views of the Kiltie rock waterfall, and the Cuillins from the North

Cuilins from Carbost
Rather unusually for Skye, we had great views of the mainland from the Quiraing, although it is over 20 miles away.
