We had planed to stop in Nye Alesund after enjoying the Lillehookbreen area, but the weather was so nice that we continued all tight to Longyearbyen, with sunshine all the way.

We even had an un-forecast favourable wind for most of the way, to accompany the midnight sun.

The next night was 100% blue sky too, which was far too rare in the all-too-frequent overcast.
In calms like this, it is not hard to put up with motoring.

The whole night was behind the shelter of Prince Karls Forland, so the normal Atlantic swell was absent.

That is all for now, as we approach the Norwegian mainland.  More on Norway later.
