|.While hiking up to the colony of
little auks above the Polish research station, we spotted this arctic fox,
carrying an egg.
He first tried to evade us, then stopped for a minute and scratched in the ground, then carried on without his egg
We assume he wanted to avoid leading us to his den, where youngsters would be awaiting lunch.

found this egg, which we assume must be from a goose, in view of its size.
We re-buried it for him.
fox then disappeared over the hill, while this reindeer grazed happily a few
hundred meters away, ignoring us all.
The pomarine skua below was much more interested in us
