Narvik to Raftsundet

Derek left us in Narvik, and then Diane Norwood arrived from Canada with her bag full of sunshine.  We left the next day and had a good run down the Oftoten Fjord.
As we sailed West, the distant Lofotens rose over the horizin

As everywhere around Narvik there are reminders of the German activity in the War, as well as great scenery.  Notice the bunker tucked under the lighthouse at the entry to Ofoten Fjord
Initially it was cold, but as the day wore on the sun triumphed and it became pleasantly warm.
The island of Hameroy behind Helen looks cold, while the Lofoton peaks behind Neil look more inviting.

Entering Raftsundet we had a lazy sailing day in ideal winds and flat waters.
